Tummy pics and 16 week appointment

On Monday I had my 16 week appointment. Here's what I look like at 16 (almost 17) weeks.

I feel much much bigger than what I look like in this picture. Anyway, this was Weston's first time coming with me to the doctor. He got to hear the heart beat for the first time and it was very exciting! The nurse told me I have gained 4 pounds since my last appointment and said this was right on track as I should be gaining about a pound a week from now on. When she said that Weston's eyes got really big and he said, "Whoa." Thanks babe. I feel a lot better now. We also made our first ultrasound appointment! We get to find out what we're having on May 28. I am SOOOO exited about this! We've been making a list of what everyone thinks we're going to have and so far girl is the consensus. I've always wanted to have a little boy first so my girls would have a big brother, but I've had a feeling that we're going to have a girl for a while now and I think I've just been in denial. We'll see though. Only time (and a picture) will tell! If it is a girl, we do not have a name picked out yet. We can't seem to agree on one that we both like. My favorite is Olivia which Weston isn't too excited about. He wavers between a few so hopefully if it is a girl we can agree on a name before she gets here!

You look so cute. I love the name Olivia. If we ever have another girl, that is probably what we are naming her. You will have to keep us posted on what you are having. We DO need to get together!!! When do you guys leave?

Um, not fair. I am much, much bigger than you already, and I'm only 15 weeks. I love the name Olivia too. Having a girl is fun, fun...I'm kind of hoping for another one!

Wow, maybe Weston should pick up a pregnancy book or something. All the mildly upsetting (but wonderful) things about pregnancy just seem to shock him--how will he survive labor and its aftermath? p.s. I'm glad you have been converted to nerts.

Ummmmm have you not seen the MLA track record. Your for sure having a girl. I think it has something to do with being surrounded by so much estrogen.
