Trip to Vegas and Halloween

After my mom left, I missed her a ton and I needed company because Weston had tests coming up and was studying a lot. I mentioned this to my mom and she graciously offered to buy me a ticket to come home for a week while Weston was taking tests. I was very excited about it, but Weston wasn't thrilled to be alone all week. He is a fantastic husband, though, and he put his needs aside and let me go. It was a much needed trip I must say. Jackson was a little angel on the plane. He just slept the entire time. No crying at all! Sunday, the whole extended fam came over and got to meet our little guy. Needless to say, he is not lacking for love. Everyone loved him so much. Especially my grandpa (who Jackson is named after). He would just look at Jackson and I could tell he was so proud. It was so cute!

We got back today, and Weston came to pick us up from the airport. Before going home, we went on a little tour of an area Weston served in while he was here on his mission. It's a town right outside of Houston called Kingwood, and I must say it is very nice. I wouldn't mind living there!
This is a lake in one of the nicer neighborhoods. Some of the houses had private boat slips. The water was pretty gross, but it would be a nice place to live!
We also stopped at our ward's Trunk or Treat before we went home. It was fun to see all the little kids dressed up, and to see our friends again!
They don't really make Halloween costumes for newborn babies, but I found this cute pumpkin hat at Target for only $1 so Jackson was a pumpkin head!

We have some very creative friends. TC and Emily dressed up as characters from "Where the Wild Things Are" and the Ellsworths brought an amazing pumpkin carved as a werewolf. Very impressive.
My wonderfully caring, thoughtful husband showed up at the airport with these beautiful flowers. He is so sweet!
Jackson was sooo good with all of the running around and being busy, and we're glad to be back home where we can unwind for a little bit. Weston's mom is coming on Wednesday and we are so excited!!
